My background/heritage is Vietnamese. Three aspects that I favor and respect about my culture that I would want people in the future to know about is the fact that the Lunar New Year’s is celebrated (Chinese & Vietnamese New Year). During this time, festivals and parades are very common with nightly celebrations filled with lantern decorations. I am also fond of the different kinds of Vietnamese art. Paintings, lacquer, and other styles of art created are amazing. One more thing my culture has that I find interesting is the musical instruments incorporated into Vietnamese music. There are many different types of musical instruments that are very unique that separate them from the other cultures.

Heyy, Anthony. I think that it is pretty cool you are as close to your culture as you are. You know alot about it and want to educate other people about it because you think it is so unique. I am a little different than you because I am not really as attached to one culture because I have so many being from a family who has imigrated to Canada years and years ago. This makes it hard to stick to just one culture.
I never really thought of music as a defining part of culture before. Why does your culture hold the moon in such high regard compared to other countries? What sort of instruments do you use? What makes them so unique?
Hi Anthony that festival thing sounds pretty cool I wish I could see it. Also those instruments sounds cool too.
Hey.
I think it’s really cool that you know so much about your culture. Do you have a lot of family that live near you from Vietnam? Do you celebrate these traditions with them..like Lunar New Years?
